Electing pro-education,
pro-public service candidates
MEA-MFT members across Montana get involved
Dec. 08 - Elected officials at every level-local, state,
and national-make decisions that profoundly affect our schools,
our children, and state and local services.
It matters who gets elected. That's why MEA-MFT members across
the state volunteer their precious time to help elect MEA-MFT's
recommended candidates.
This election season saw more members than ever helping elect
candidates who support their work. MEA-MFT members registered
voters, went door to door, posted yard signs, made phone calls,
and talked to friends and neighbors about MEA-MFT's recommended
candidates.
"We can't afford not to take an active part in these
campaigns when they have such a direct impact on our members
and the people they serve," said MEA-MFT President Eric
Feaver.
"That's why we communicate member-to-member about recommended
candidates. That's why our staff and members volunteer to
help candidates who will support public schools and public
services."
Thanks to ALL members who worked so hard and made such a
difference in the 2008 election!
