AFT Porter Scholarships available. Applications are now available for the 2010 Robert G. Porter Scholarships Program. MEA-MFT members and their children are eligible for the program, which awards four $8,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and $1,000 to AFT members who are continuing their education. Mar. 4 - Central Falls (R.I.) update: Superintendent agrees to go back to the table and work with the Central Falls Teachers Union on implementing a comprehensive education plan focused on giving the students and teachers of Central Falls High School the tools they need to succeed.
