Amazing Jennifer Liva

Butte teacher Jennifer Liva was one of 14 MEA-MFT members who accompanied presidential candidate Barack Obama in Butte June 5, 2008.

Obama gave a major education address from Butte to nearly 10,000 educators at the National Education Association's annual Representative Assembly in Washington, D.C.

Liva, the other MEA-MFT members, and several of their children sat with Obama as he gave the address, which was beamed via satellite to a giant screen at the NEA convention hall in D.C.
