Montanans “in good hands” with John Walsh in the U.S. Senate
MEA-MFT, Montana’s largest union, proudly welcomes John Walsh as Montana’s newest U.S. Senator. MEA-MFT recently endorsed John Walsh’s candidacy.
“MEA-MFT is proud to welcome Sen. John Walsh as our newest advocate for Montana in Washington,” said MEA-MFT President Eric Feaver.  “Sen. Walsh is dedicated to strong public programs and services, public education, and a robust middle class in Montana.  Montana’s students, schools, educators, and public employees are in good hands with Sen. Walsh.  MEA-MFT’s members know that he will continue fighting for Montana’s dedicated public sector employees in the U.S. Senate.”
Feaver added, “It is worth noting that John’s wife of 29 years, Janet, has been a paraeducator in Helena public schools for 17 years.”
MEA-MFT represents more than 18,000 k-12 teachers and school support staff, Head Start employees, state and county employees, university faculty, and private-sector health care providers.
“I will continue to fight for Montana’s teachers and public service providers with a true sense of responsibility, always having the courage to protect our educators and students,” said Walsh. “That’s the kind of leadership I will bring to the U.S. Senate -- putting Montana’s best interests first.”
